Preguntas frecuentes

¿Tienes preguntas? Tenemos las respuestas. Desde elegir el material adecuado hasta cuidar tus bobinas, aquí encontrarás todo lo que necesitas saber en un solo lugar.

Is there a difference between Panchroma™ Satin PLA and PolyTerra™ PLA+?

No! This is the same great material - just under a new product family name.

Is this material food safe?

Unfortunately we do not have any data whether this material is food safe. As of now, no 3D printing material on the market is FDA food safe compliant. This is because in order to be certified as food safe, the actual object needs to be certified and not the base material. The shape, bed used, environment the object was made, and much more goes into getting a food safety certificate. As of now there is no real certification that the FDA offers for 3D printing.

Is this material AMS compatible?

Yes! All Panchroma™ spools now have hardened edges that roll great in the AMS

Do you sell refills?

We are sorry but we do not sell refills at this time

Is this material recyclable?

Unfortunately there is no great answer for recycling PLA at this time. Our cardboard spools are biodegradable but there is no great way to recycle PLA at this time.

What is Panchroma™?

Panchroma™ is a new family of engineered polymer compounds containing PLA. The formulations are fine tuned for each color/surface finish to offer the best aesthetic quality and printability. They can be reliably printed on any FFF/FDM 3D printer under typical PLA settings.

All Panchroma™ products are PLA except for those listed under "experimental".

Can I mix and match effects into a single HueForge print?

This material will mix and match great with all other Panchroma™ effects, except those listed under "experimental".

Customers praised the filament's "beautiful satin finish" and reliable printing quality. Many noted "very nice colors" though some found colors more muted than photos suggested. Most prints were successful with consistent extrusion. A few shoppers experienced warping or moisture issues requiring dehydration. Overall, customers appreciated the ease of use and strength.

Satin Orange / 1.75mm (New Packaging) / 1kg
Muted colors, photos dont really capture it.

Products ok, the difference in color is not well represented by the photos or examples. The Orange is more satin and muted once printed and less vibrant than expected.

Excellent first print filament and service

Have never 3D printed before and was amazed how cool it was. Assembled a prusa mini together (one of the most enjoyable projects I have ever done, amazing documentation) and used this as my first filament to print off many parts for the prusa ikea lack enclosure project. I used the prusaslicer default PLA settings and went through the whole spool without a single error or failed print. Parts look great and it stuck to my spring steel sheet perfectly. I do first layer calibration with a 0.2mm feeler gauge (live z calibration/first layer calibration). What car/motorcycle mechanics use to adjust cam clearance). I am too much of a novice to trust my eyes relative to the pics in the manual. I emailed polymaker with a question about prusaslicer settings and received a very detailed long response with many great tips the next morning, so excellent customer service as well. Just FYI- Do not mix this filament midstream on a part with there polylite pro PLA (another excellent filament). They are both PLA but very different. Polylite Pro filament requires blue tape and glue on the bed (or glass/glue, etc). I am learning to use this for more demanding parts that require strength. My supports come off easy and clean with polyterra but I have to adjust settings for polylite so the supports are not too strong, as others have stated. Purchased a second kg of polyterra PLA+ - Excellent product!

Good material with great properties

I like the properties of this material. I had tried the black first and loved the satin finish. The white however is very revealing if you have any extrusion inconsistencies or z banding. It's tough to get a smooth surface finish with it. Still,I like the material and if you are printing a textured model,it is not so noticeable. If you want to expose your printer's flaws, this may be the stuff to get lol. It leans towards a warm white, and matte finish.

Best filament amazing quality prints smoothly

This has got to be the best filament I've tried so far! My 3DBenchy and other test prints have amazing quality. The bed adhesion is just right and it prints extremely smoothly with a nice satin finish.Printed on an Ender 3; Nozzle 200, Bed 55, Retraction 3mm@40mm/s

Dehydrating Solves Problems Prints Great

Left octopus with loads of defects printed after taking spool out of the package. Right octopus after dehydrating overnight. Before dehydrating I was having trouble with adhesion and LOTS of popping sounds from moisture. After dehydrating, no issues. As other recommended, 210C nozzle and 60C bed work well for me.

I am using a few of the Satin colors right now! They print great and look even better,
I may even prefer the Satin look over matte, and I'm a big fan of matte finish prints.
