  • Secador de filamento - PolyDissolve es muy higroscópico.
  • Se recomienda encarecidamente usar una impresora con dos boquillas, como una IDEX o Tool Changer. Tendrás problemas de obstrucción al imprimir dos tipos de material con una sola boquilla.

Por lo demás, ¡no hay requisitos! No se necesita carcasa, hotend de alta temperatura ni boquilla endurecida.

  • Keep the filament sealed and dry; use the listed 80°C / 12h drying cycle if moisture-related defects appear.
  • Print from a sealed dry box because this PVA-based support absorbs moisture rapidly.
  • Use warm, moving, or frequently changed water to shorten dissolution time for dense supports.
  • Start within the recommended 215 - 225°C nozzle and 25 - 60°C bed ranges, then make small adjustments for the printer and model.
  • Use the recommended ON cooling-fan setting and keep printing speed within 50 - 150 mm/s.

What material can PolyDissolve™ S1 support?

PolyDissolve™ S1 can support PLA, PVB, TPU and Nylon based materials from our portfolio.

How long does it take for PolyDissolve™ S1 to dissolve?

It can take 6-12hours to fully dissolve depending on your setup.
You can speed up the process:
- By increasing the water temperature
- By changing the water regularly
- By adding a pump to make the water flowing

Will the spools work in an AMS?

Yes! We have redesigned the edges of our spools so all Polymaker products will now spin great in the AMS.

That said - we will always recommend using a multi nozzle extruder when printing with more than one material type to help prevent clogs.

It is possible to print a material and PolyDissolve out of a single nozzle but you need to make sure you properly purge all of the previous material when swapping. IDEX or Tool Changer recommended.

Is this material food safe?

Unfortunately we do not have any data whether this material is food safe. As of now, no 3D printing material on the market is FDA food safe compliant. This is because in order to be certified as food safe, the actual object needs to be certified and not the base material. The shape, bed used, environment the object was made, and much more goes into getting a food safety certificate. As of now there is no real certification that the FDA offers for 3D printing.

Is this material recyclable?

Unfortunately there is no great answer for recycling PLA at this time. Our cardboard spools are biodegradable but there is no great way to recycle PLA at this time.

Customers praised this PVA support filament for excellent surface finish and full contact support capabilities. It works well with PLA and dissolves in hot water. Reviewers noted it's "fantastic" for interface layers and comparable to premium brands. However, the material is extremely sensitive to humidity, requiring dry boxes and filament dryers for optimal performance.

Happy with the filament quality

I really couldn't be more happy with the filament. I was originally considering soluble filament for supports but I didn't want to deal with dissolving supports all the time while prepping items. I'm running it on a Prusa MK3S+ with an MMU3 with the soluble interface profile on Prusa Slicer and it prints great without any extra tuning. The filament doesn't come off perfectly without some picking at it but the finish is much better than using supports with standard PLA. I'll definitely be using more of this filament in my print farm.

Works well, dissolves in hot water

Most importantly it works with PLA +. It also dissolves in hot water from the tap. it did what i needed it to do. I used in in a Bambu Lab X1 carbon through the AMS.

Fantastic for full contact supports

I should of bought some of this stuff much sooner. Its fantastic for full contact supports. Situations where surface finish and accuracy when using support are critical.However its extremely sensitive to humidity. You really need a dry box, and filament dryer for this stuff. To keep it in good working condition. Even more so if you live in an area with high humidity (like i do). If you do these two things, it should behave extremely well for you. With wonderful results. enclosed chamber is probably also a good idea. I haven't tried too use it on anything that doesn't have a fully enclosed print chamber.So far I have not needed to submerge my parts in water to remove the material. Since its about 80-90% humidity here most of the time. After its out of the print chamber 10-15 minutes in the open air, and I can usually separate and remove this PVA support. With my finger and a small spudger (just to start the separation).I will definitely be purchasing this again.

Great filament for support interface layer

I just had to post. I see people using this material for the entire support. That's crazy expensive. Just select it for the interface layer of the support. Use the cheaper primary material to generate the bulk of the support. These support filaments last forever if you only use them for the interface between the two materials.
