Customers praise this filament's "amazing smoothing properties" and "stunning results," though there's a learning curve. Many note it requires careful humidity control and precise settings to avoid adhesion issues. When paired with alcohol smoothing, prints achieve glass-like, shiny finishes that "look like resin." Some find limited color options.

It works! But…

This isn’t the easiest stuff to print with. I keep having adhesion problems that wreck some of my prints, but my successful prints look pretty good. And once I got some good prints the smoothing part has gone pretty good. Not great though. It does work and my prints look shiny and smooth, but there are limits. I maybe should have done a little sanding in some areas first. So there’s a learning curve. What happened to the Polysher? I keep wondering if that would fix some of my issues.

Insanely Good Material Looks Amazing

I don't understand why everyone is saying this is poor-quality material, it is insanely good!, and looks like a resin print even hiding the imperfections.I recommend it at 200% percent!

Stunning results with Polysher game changer

This stuff is a game changer when paired with the Polymaker Polysher unit. The results are stunning. It's a VERY delicate filament that is more sensitive than any others I've dealt with though. Any humidity whatsoever will ruin this filament, so I keep them in sealed air-tight containers with fresh desiccant packets which are housed inside a gasket sealed closet with a dehumidifier running constantly. As long as you can store it properly it will turn out beautifully after a 30-ish minute session in the Polysher with 99% isopropyl alcohol.Another thing to be aware of (and this is something that Polymaker confirmed with me) is that this filament is only meant for organic shaped items, meaning the dissolving filament is meant to run over rounded surfaces. If you intend to smooth something that has flat surfaces and hard edges it will not smooth those, and will leave a subtle imprint of the infill beneath.5/5. So worth it once you figure it out!

Most transparent filament I used

First of all I want to say I print all my PLA 230, bed 60, speed 45. I am in no way the guy who knows every little print adjustment. I took this filament threw it in the printer, sprayed some hairspray on the glass bed and printed this case cover for my game counter holder. It was my first print with it. I will watch videos to see how to smooth. The shell is 1.5 mm w 100% infill. I am very happy with the result. I would like to know if I can get it clearer, but this is the most transparent filament I have used.

PolySmooth filament is fantastic to work with

PolySmooth filament is just fantastic to work with. The quality, color ranges is wonderful! Combine that with the PolySher machine and the prints look better than ABS smoothing (and much easier)!!! So happy with the results. The compliments I have received are amazing!

Fantastic results with smooth shiny prints

I received this filament a couple of weeks ago and like all new filaments, had to get it tweeked in. Once that was done, the quality of my prints were even better than using "normal" PLA. I mostly use my printer to make fishing lures which with PLA took extensive time and effort to sand and smooth to make them ready for painting. So I thought I would give this a try. OMG! the results were fantastic! I also purchased the Polysher which I would highly recommend. Just put in your print hit the button, and came back to a beautiful smooth and shiny print!

Settings work well, good print

All settings work well. Smoothing process requires more practice. Raise3D pro series 2 used the filament without problem. First print worked came off the printer looking good. When put in the alcohol with Poly Smooth misting unit the material became rubbery. Need more practice for sure. I was hoping for a clear filament but clarity was not achieved.

Awesome fun filament to experiment with

I have had to play with my settings a bit and still have things go wrong occasionally but man this filament is awesome. It's just a fun filament to experiment with and if done right can be incredible clear. I'm still new so I'm experimenting with a bunch of filaments but so far this is one of the most interesting.

Flawless Prints After Dialing In Settings

So, at first I wasn't impressed. My prints were coming out awful... and it turned out it was my fault. This is an extremely delicate filament to use, and it 100% requires you 1) have your machine tuned in EVERY way and 2) know what you are doing with your slicer settings. It will take a LOT of effort to dial in, but once its there, its flawless. The color you have does seem to impact your end quality significantly, which is the only frustrating thing about this filament. For instance, when I printed with the Coral Red color, it was stringy and cobwebby no matter what I did. I ordered the blue in my second order, and it was flawless on the same settings as the red.The filament is amazingly hygroscopic, so plan for that. One single humid day turned my filament into a popping mess. The red also seems more hygroscopic than the blue.My prints are too large for the vaporizing system, so I use a misting bottle and apply my alcohol in short periods. I've had success with 90-100% alcohol with this method.

Prints nice and easily

even if I was not doing investment casting, I would still use this in a heartbeat, it prints so nice and easily, i have never had it jam on me once! all in all, I give this an 100 out of 10.

Customer service extremely helpful resolution achieved

This roll came packaged looking the best of the three filament rolls I bought this order, but boiled & bubbled like puffed rice cereal as soon as I tried to put it through my extruder. I've been storing it in a gently heated bucket with a few pounds of dessicant & so far have only gotten a single print (0.6cc total) to complete without this stuff clogging the nozzle & air-printing. ...maybe another week of drying out and it'll be a better story??-----UPDATE:I contacted PolyMaker about this spool and they were extremely helpful. They sent me 2 replacement spools FREE OF CHARGE to replace the bad one. I've upped my review from 2 stars to 4 stars.
