Description

This 3D printing material delivers exceptional results with carbon fiber reinforcement. Customers praised its "beautiful" prints, excellent surface finish, and ease of use. The carbon fiber eliminates typical warping and adhesion issues. However, some noted color inaccuracies—grays appear blue-tinted and reds look purple. Occasional clogging from oversized carbon chunks reported.

Great Filament

This filament prints easily with great results. The matte finish looks good, hides layer lines, and feels good in the hand.

Don't underestimate how brittle this is, but fantastic results once you get it going

It took some time to be able to successfully print with this material. While I thought that I understood that this ASA-CF was brittle, I was still a couple of orders of magnitude from being successful. CS assisted tremendously in figuring out what I needed to change with the Core One in order to print. I had to raise the spool so that the Nextruder was feeding with gravity instead of pulling filament up and over. I also had to back way off on the tension of the Nextruder. Once it was printing, it did so beautifully! Gorgeous, strong parts with no further issues... I have since ordered two more rolls.

This is my new go-to filament

This is my new go-to filament. I work in maintenance and fabrication, especially for mechanical and exterior parts. I needed something easy to print, strong yet slightly flexible, and UV/weather resistant. This stuff is exceptional! Prints are so clean without needing any glue, rafts, or brims. I have been super happy with it, and I'm glad to see more colors. Printing on a Bambu P1S with an Obsidian head and textured spring plate.

Total failure

I've tried to print this part twice and failed. The second time, I used glue on the heated bed, but it still warped. My printer is a BBL P2S; I don't know if you have any idea what the problem is. I've wasted 500g of glue, and it's still no good.

Hey! Looks like we were able to reach out and help on this via email. If your replacements ever have issues or you have any questions at all - don't hesitate to reach back out via that email!

Awesome material, easy to print for outdoor parts.

Very impressed with the surface texture and appearance of my parts. I used this material for an outdoor transformer enclosure and it came out great. Printing was super easy on my P1S. As expected from my favorite filament brand.

Prints pretty well but is not dark red, more of a brick red.

Prints pretty well. The profile did not work on the p1s and I had to modify it to make it work. I had to slow the flow down to .9 and even then it still pulls up some of the infill. So I had to slow it down to 50% speed.

Its on me that I didn't see the spool wasn't 1kg. I am not sure why they are shipping half spools of this stuff.

The dark red is a bit off, it is brick red and I thought it was going to be more red than it actually was. The finished prints look pretty good but took way too long.

I won't be buying it again.

Very sorry if you had printing issues or you do not like the color! We have tested those profiles so I wonder why you are having these issues with flow. As for half spools - the filament is brittle so we need to make the core of the spool larger to not have it turn at too tight of an angle. This larger core means that 1KG of filament does not fit on a 1KG spool.
Feel free to reach out to us on the email listed on the spool and we can help troubleshoot or replace faulty products!

I am totally sold on Fiberon. Popped it in my printer and ran it with my regular CF profile. Great results. Easy to manage. Worth the price for me to get quality results.

I love the ASA-CF08

I love the ASA-CF08. Aside from having one bad batch, it has always printed very well for me and the 8% Carbon Fiber is a perfect catalyst for ASA to stabilize it. Literally ALL of the problems that people experience with standard ASA are eradicated with the CF08 variant. It doesn’t warp, it doesn’t peel off the bed, it doesn’t lose layer adhesion, it doesn’t have bed adhesion issues, it doesn’t have cooling issues with bridges, it just prints beautifully every single time. And if you use the fan at 100% for both support interface layers and supported bridges, you can have a tiny air gap of 0.05mm and the supports will literally pop off after the print, leaving a PERFECT bottom layer that is nearly as clean as the bed layer itself! You do have to tune the bridge settings and have a bit more flow rate, have the speeds, acceleration, and jerk settings correct, but a few tests will reveal the optimum settings. I am using a 1.5625 flow multiplier with 100% overlap, 500mm/^2 accel, and 1mm/s jerk for bridges to achieve incredible results. I absolutely love this filament and I am considering dropping standard ASA from my filament list entirely to use this only because of how awesome it prints. And I haven’t even mentioned the surface finish which is downright ****! With 0.1mm layers, the layer lines entirely disappear and you are left with an amazing final finish that requires absolutely zero post-print finishing required other than maybe paint. Just be aware that there may be a few cases of a bad batch where some oversize chunks of carbon fiber or excessive quantities may be present which can clog a 0.4mm nozzle from time to time. It’s kind of a pain to clear because you have to remove the nozzle and heat it by other means to dig clean out the nozzle and clear it as using a standard clearing pin will simply push the chunk or whatever to the side and not actually clear the clog, leading to an immediate re-clog. But that occasional issue is worth the rest of the benefits of this filament. It also produces amazing strength, especially if you raise the number of walls to 5 or 6. I have printed truly structural parts with this filament and it holds up perfectly. Awesome filament! Get yourself a good hybrid nozzle such as a MicroSwiss CM2 or something of that nature and prepare to be amazed!
