PolyLite™ ABS est formulé à partir d’une résine ABS polymérisée en masse spéciale, présentant une teneur en composés volatils nettement inférieure à celle de l’ABS traditionnel. Which 3D printer can print PolyLite™ ABS?

Depending on the size of the models you are trying to print, PolyLite™ ABS can required enclosed 3D printer, or even actively heated chamber.

In general a non-enclosed 3D printer with 90˚C bed temperature and 260˚C printing temperature can handle models smaller than fist size. For bigger prints you will required an enclosed 3D printer (~40-50˚C), for models bigger than ~15-20cm in any direction, it will require an actively heated chamber (~70˚C+).

Using proper bed adhesion can also help printing larger parts without deformation/warping issue.
We can recommend Magigoo or BuildTak as adhesive and bed surface options.

Can PolyLite™ ABS be post-processed with Acetone?

Yes, PolyLite™ ABS can be smoothed with acetone.
WARNING: Acetone is a dangerous chemical, please handle it with the necessary safety precautions.

We recommend PolySmooth™ as a safer alternative to create smooth surface models.

Will the spools work in an AMS?

Yes! We have redesigned the edges of our spools so all Polymaker products will now spin great in the AMS.

Is this material food safe?

Unfortunately we do not have any data whether this material is food safe. As of now, no 3D printing material on the market is FDA food safe compliant. This is because in order to be certified as food safe, the actual object needs to be certified and not the base material. The shape, bed used, environment the object was made, and much more goes into getting a food safety certificate. As of now there is no real certification that the FDA offers for 3D printing.

A superb, vibrant aesthetic ABS filament

It seems tricky to find aesthetic ABS filaments so generally I use PLA due to availability. I wanted to try out neon colours so I decided to give this a try. It requires a fairly slow print, but results are truly exceptional. The colour is incredibly vibrant and opens up more possibilities for multi coloured ABS prints. I dried the filament for a little longer than suggested and the finish was very smooth and clean. It is highly consistent and although it doesn't glow in the dark it is very bright and doesn't seem to be particularly abrasive - feels less so than even a matte pla. I've tried out a great deal of Polymaker filaments since they opened the UK store and I have been pleased with the results, certainly the reputation for making some of the best quality filaments seems to stack up. Can't say enough positive about this Polylite Neon ABS

Can't say enough positive about this Polylite Neon ABS. I've never had any problems printing this. After multiple orders I find that the color is always an exact match, same easy printing and best of all, my customers love the color. Thanks Polymaker, you guys are great.

Absolutely love the neon green, havnt found any other green thats this good/nice, sadly they stopped selling it on amazon, but i hope they never stop producing this color (It would be impossible to find a replacment supplier)

Better quality than expected

I use this in my Tronxy P802MA. I wasn't expecting much for the cost, but had to switch after my previous favorite filament company went out of business. This seems to work great. Runs at a higher temp than my previous filament. But it actually seems better quality.

New Favorite Filament Vapor Smooths Great

I have tried several other brands and this is my new favorite. What I used to use, printed great but would not vapor smooth no matter how long tried. This filament vapor smooths great and prints just as easy as PLA in an enclosed print area. I print at 236c on hot end and 105c on the bed and warping has not been an issue.

Good Filament Great Packaging Spool Design

It seems that the filament is plenty good, ie no problems.The packaging and spooling were special. First, the cardboard packaging containing no "merchandise reveal" holes makes it much more likely that I can repurpose the box. Second, the polyethylene sleeve containing the filament is resealable and makes low humidity storage much easier. Next, the spool is made of some sort paper press-board made of recycled material, there are several edge holes in which to tuck the loose end of filament when storing, and finally there is a slot running radially with graduated marks that tell you how much filament remains on the spool. It appears that Polymaker has some smart, observant folks putting marketing this product. Only down side is that the actual spooling is random rather than smooth and controlled - true, it still feeds fine, but it could be wound better.
