Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? We've got answers. From choosing the right material to caring for your spools, here's everything you need to know in one spot.

Is this material food safe?

Unfortunately we do not have any data whether this material is food safe. As of now, no 3D printing material on the market is FDA food safe compliant. This is because in order to be certified as food safe, the actual object needs to be certified and not the base material. The shape, bed used, environment the object was made, and much more goes into getting a food safety certificate. As of now there is no real certification that the FDA offers for 3D printing.

Is this material AMS compatible?

Yes! All Panchroma spools now have hardened edges that roll great in the AMS

Do you sell refills?

We are sorry but we do not sell refills at this time

Is this material recyclable?

Unfortunately there is no great answer for recycling PLA at this time. Our cardboard spools are biodegradable but there is no great way to recycle PLA at this time.

What is Panchroma™?

Panchroma™ is a new family of engineered polymer compounds containing PLA. The formulations are fine tuned for each color/surface finish to offer the best aesthetic quality and printability. They can be reliably printed on any FFF/FDM 3D printer under typical PLA settings.

All Panchroma™ products are PLA except for those listed under "experimental".

Can I mix and match effects into a single HueForge print?

This material will mix and match great with all other Panchroma™ effects, except those listed under "experimental".

Customers praised this gradient PLA filament as "one of my all time favorite filaments" with beautiful, vibrant colors and smooth transitions. Reviews highlight excellent print quality, strong layer adhesion, and compatibility with various printers. Some noted spool compatibility issues with certain AMS systems and pricey cost, though quality justifies it.

Beautiful rainbow gradient pastel like filament

Beautiful rainbow gradient pastel like filament. Printed perfectly on my P2S just using Polymakers downloaded filament profiles into Bambu Studio. Same as the other guy though about having to respool the filament. Well I didn't HAVE to, but if I wanted to run it through my AMS 2 I did. That's no huge issue for me, but I do wish they had this as a refill option so I could just slap it in one of my many empty spools and as such that would make it slightly cheaper too.

Worked Great After Putting It On Different Spool

This filament worked great in the Ace Pro AFTER taking it off the Polymaker spool, also printed the spool adapter that they recommended and it still didnt work, there is something with their spools that the Ace Pro doesn't like and constantly tossed up a tangled filament error when it wasn't tangled...so I put them onto a different manufacturer's spool and it worked great, just don't like having to rewind spools. I really hope someone figures out the cause of this error...filament is great though.

Better than any filament used

Another brand was my go to filament until I tried polymaker. This stuff is better than any I have ever used.

Pleased after small adjustments

Took a few adjustments to get it right and was pretty pleased. Is a bit pricey

Filament Prints Very Well

This filament prints very well. I keep it in a sealed container with dessicant. The spool is a bit wider than ESun spools so I had to make adjustments to my spool holders to accommodate this spool.

Drying filament makes a difference

my first 2 prints came out with air holes in the layers. I put this filament in my filament dryer over night and made the same print and wow what a difference it made. I have a ender 3v2 print was made at 212c and 55c on the bed.

Great prints, adhesion and smooth surfaces

I ordered this because the brand I usually use wasn't available. I've been pleased with the quality of the prints I've done with it. It adheres well with my heated glass bed and layer adhesion is also very good. likewise, the surfaces are smooth and look great.

Helpful printing tips great results

for my 3d printer make sure you1. have the bed at 60 degrees2. I print this filament at 205 degrees3. the first layer should only travel at 80% and then once you have a good layer you can bump it up to 100% speed4. for the first layer make the fan blow at 30% or 33% and then once the initial layer is down you can bump it up to 100%5. always clean the glass bed with ammonia after you are done with each print. I used to use alcohol but I found ammonia worked the best. it really makes a huge difference. using these rules will really help your print with this filament. if you have any other rules or ideas on how to make better prints...feel free to post.

Better Layers Than Other Brands

Layers look so much better than my eSun. Also the eSun has issues with tangles and cracking, and it may be too soon to say this one doesn't, but I have not had any issues after about 10 prints. Generic PLA settings in Cura are perfect for this filament.

Has been a reliable filament, definitely a go to for me. I make a lot of props to paint and it takes primer and body filler very well.
