Description

Max Performance ABS
Polymaker™ ABS Max is the highest-performance ABS in the Polymaker lineup, engineered for advanced users and demanding applications that exceed the capabilities of conventional consumer-grade ABS and ASA materials.

Speed Without Compromise
Designed for print speeds up to 200 mm/s, ABS Max delivers exceptional performance without sacrificing reliability or print quality. Optimized for actively heated build environments, it enables high-throughput production with consistent results.

Maximum Heat Resistance
With a Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT) of 113.1°C at 1.8 MPa and 118.1 at 0.45MPa, ABS Max offers the highest heat resistance in the Polymaker ABS range. It is ideally suited for automotive components, industrial fixtures, and other applications exposed to elevated operating temperatures.

Engineered for Performance
ABS Max combines high strength, stiffness, and impact resistance for parts that must perform under real mechanical and thermal stress. With a tensile strength of 35.66 MPa, flexural strength of 63.29 MPa, and unnotched impact strength of 29.37 kJ/m², ABS Max is engineered to deliver reliable structural performance, durability, and toughness.

Improved Creep Resistance
Best-in-class creep resistance helps maintain dimensional accuracy and structural integrity under prolonged load and heat exposure, ensuring reliable long-term performance in demanding environments.

6 Bold Color Options
Available in 6 standard colors, ABS Max is designed for engineers, manufacturers, and advanced users who prioritize performance, durability, and reliability above all else.

Note: TDS will be added shortly after launch date.

Printing Requirements
  • 🚨Actively Heated Enclosure Required.
  • Enclosure that can trap ambient air and keep it hot.
  • All-metal hot-end needed.

And that's all! You can use Magigoo Original to help with build plate adhesion

If using a stock, older style printer - we would recommend printing slower.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? We've got answers. From choosing the right material to caring for your spools, here's everything you need to know in one spot.

Do I need an enclosure to print ABS Max?

Yes. ABS Max requires an actively heated chamber of 65°C or higher for best results.

Does ABS Max require a hardened nozzle?

No. ABS Max contains no abrasive fillers and prints well with standard nozzles.

Do I need to dry ABS Max before printing?

Yes. We recommend drying ABS Max at 70°C for 6 hours before printing, or whenever it has absorbed moisture.

Will the spools work in an AMS?

Yes. We have redesigned the edges of our spools so all Polymaker products will now spin smoothly in the AMS.

What printers is ABS Max compatible with?

ABS Max is designed for printers with active chamber heating. It will print well on any enclosed printer capable of maintaining a 65°C+ chamber temperature.

What is the difference between ABS Pro and ABS Max?

ABS Max is the higher-performance material. It has higher heat resistance (HDT 113.1°C at 1.8 MPa and 118.1°C at 0.45 MPa) and best-in-class creep resistance. It requires an actively heated 65°C+ chamber and prints up to 200 mm/s. Choose ABS Max when maximum thermal performance is more important than speed or compatibility.

Is ABS Max stronger than standard ABS?

Yes. ABS Max offers extreme heat resistance, best-in-class creep resistance, and superior mechanical performance compared to standard ABS.

Is this material food safe?

Unfortunately, we do not have data confirming that this material is food safe. Currently, no 3D printing material on the market is FDA food-safe certified as a base material because the final printed object and printing conditions affect compliance.

How should ABS Max be stored?

Store in a cool, dry environment away from moisture and UV light. Use of a PolyBox™ or PolyDryer™ is strongly recommended during both storage and printing.

Great filament

Great filament but having a hard time finding the right print settings for my Core One L. Would be 5 stars if Prusa profile was provided.
