Engineered to maintain structural integrity in temperatures up to 236.3 °C (HDT @ 0.45 MPa after annealing). Whether you're building parts for high-temp enclosures, hot-air equipment, or vehicle under-hood use, this filament won’t warp under pressure.

Glass Fiber–Reinforced for Strength
With 20% glass fiber reinforcement, PPS-GF20 delivers exceptional strength and stiffness—up to 4552 MPa Young’s modulus and 102 MPa bending strength in XY—ideal for brackets, antenna mounts, and chemically exposed parts.

Flame-Retardant & Chemically Resistant
UL94 V0 certified at 1.5mm and resistant to acids, bases, oils, and solvents. A trusted option for mission-critical environments such as chemical labs, factory floors, and automotive housings.

Precise, Reliable, Print-Ready
Supports high-speed printing (up to 250 mm/s) with minimal warping and stable Z-axis strength. Recommended for hardened steel nozzles. Available in neutral gray for reduced heat absorption and post-processing flexibility.

AMS Compatible, Moisture & Tangle Free
Delivered vacuum-sealed and neatly wound, this filament is compatible with Bambu AMS systems. Low moisture absorption (0.11%, 70%RH, 23°C) ensures reliable print quality, even in humid environments.

  • Use a high-temperature hotend capable of 310-350°C and a wear-resistant nozzle, such as hardened steel or ruby, because the reinforcement is abrasive.
  • Keep the filament path free of sharp bends or tight turns because the filament may snap.
  • Store and print under dry conditions (relative humidity below 20%); dry at 100°C for 10 hours if the filament is damp or surface moisture is present.
  • Keep the cooling fan OFF and the chamber at room temperature. Reduce print speed within the recommended range of up to 250 mm/s for better print quality
  • Anneal at 130°C for 10 hours when the annealed mechanical and thermal performance stated in the TDS is required.
  • PolySupport for PA12 is the support material recommended for Fiberon PPS-GF20.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions? We've got answers. From choosing the right material to caring for your spools, here's everything you need to know in one spot.

What is Fiberon™ PPS-GF20 used for?

Fiberon™ PPS-GF20 is designed for high-temperature, high-performance applications that demand exceptional heat resistance, electrical insulation, and UL94 V0 flame retardant. Common use cases include electronic housings, sensor enclosures, antenna mounts, and parts exposed to harsh industrial environments.

Is PPS-GF20 electrically insulating?

Yes. Unlike carbon fiber composites, PPS-GF20 is electrically insulating. It offers a dielectric strength of 6.05 kV/mm and low dielectric constants, making it suitable for moderate voltage insulation and high-frequency electronic applications.

How heat resistant is PPS-GF20?

Extremely. When annealed at 130 °C for 10 hours, the material achieves a heat deflection temperature (HDT) of over 230 °C at 0.45 MPa—ideal for high-heat industrial parts and enclosures. At 230 °C annealing, it offers even higher resistance under load (up to 219.6 °C @ 1.8 MPa).

Do I need to anneal PPS-GF20 to achieve its full heat resistance?

While the material performs well unannealed, annealing at 130 °C or 230 °C significantly boosts thermal performance. The 130 °C anneal is suitable for most users, while 230 °C offers maximum heat resistance for demanding environments.

What printers and settings work best for PPS-GF20?

PPS-GF20 prints reliably on desktop level 3D printers like the QIDI Plus4 or Bambu H2D. Recommended settings include a 310–350 °C nozzle, 80–90 °C bed, fan off, and hardened steel nozzle. For best results, use PolySupport™ for PA12 and anneal after printing.

Is it compatible with AMS systems?

Yes. Fiberon™ PPS-GF20 works well with Bambu AMS systems. However, due to the stiffness of glass fiber filament, performance may vary on other AMS-like devices depending on tube length and curvature.

Does PPS-GF20 absorb moisture?

No. The material has low moisture sensitivity, with an equilibrium water absorption rate of just 0.11%(70%RH, 23°C). This ensures consistent dimensional accuracy even in humid environments. Nevertheless, moisture adhering to the filament surface can easily cause defects on the surface of the printed part when printing at high temperatures. When using the filament, please pay attention to moisture protection. If you find that the material is damp, please dry it at 100 degrees for 10h before printing.

How strong is PPS-GF20?

Very strong. It offers up to 102 MPa bending strength and 64 MPa tensile strength (XY), with a Young’s modulus of over 4500 MPa. These specs make it ideal for structural parts that require stiffness and dimensional stability.

What’s the difference between PPS-GF20 and PPS-CF10?

PPS-GF20 replaces the conductive carbon fiber with insulating glass fiber—solving the electrical conductivity issue in PPS-CF10. It retains similar thermal and mechanical properties while being more affordable and chemically resistant.

Is PPS-GF20 flame retardant?

Yes. It is UL94 V0 rated at 1.5 mm, making it suitable for electrical enclosures, automotive parts, and safety-critical applications requiring certified flame resistance.

Fantastic stuff!

Like everything Polymaker makes, this glass fill PPS is top notch stuff. Arguably prints better than its CF equivalent.

PPS-GF20 outperformed PPS-CF10 by 18%

In our compression tests done on a lock stand fixture,

Polymaker PPS-GF20 did better by 18% than PPS-CF10.
Parts were printed at 340noz, 110bed, 65chmbr. 100% infill and salt annealed with the (high load), gradual rise, hold, fall method. 230c peak hold for 2.5 hours.
These parts withstood 650lbs for 15 seconds with less than .2mm of deflection!

When we tested the parts under heat at 130c we felt so comfortable with the results that we're now saving over $2000/month by switching to 3d printed PPS-GF20 parts over the brass machined versions. Just wished I could print this material at 100c! With 20% GF I bet I could produce and even stronger tensile strength part for another application. Polymaker hit a home run with this. Very impressed!
