Use standard PLA settings, a 0.4 mm or larger nozzle, and full cooling for the best surface quality.
Use glue when needed on PC or textured PEI and allow the plate to cool before removal.

Is there a difference between Panchroma™ Matte PLA and PolyTerra™ PLA?

No! This is the same great material - just under a new product family name.

Is Panchroma™ Matte more abrasive than basic gloss PLA?

Yes, it Panchroma™ Matte is slightly more abrasive - though not enough to justify using a hardened nozzle. If you are printing a lot of Panchroma™ Matte, it may be worth upgrading to a hardened nozzle for longevity.

Is Panchroma™ Matte PLA biodegradable?

The short answer is no in a way that it would not degrade when throwing it on the side of the road. Panchroma™ Matte PLA requires specific conditions to degrade which can be achieved in industrial composting facilities.
We developed a formula which can degrade faster than regular PLA while maintaining excellent printability which allows a step forward towards improving the end of life of our PLA in our industry.

Is this material food safe?

Unfortunately we do not have any data whether this material is food safe. As of now, no 3D printing material on the market is FDA food safe compliant. This is because in order to be certified as food safe, the actual object needs to be certified and not the base material. The shape, bed used, environment the object was made, and much more goes into getting a food safety certificate. As of now there is no real certification that the FDA offers for 3D printing.

Is this material AMS compatible?

Yes! All Panchroma™ spools now have hardened edges that roll great in the AMS

Is this material recyclable?

Unfortunately there is no great answer for recycling PLA at this time. Our cardboard spools are biodegradable but there is no great way to recycle PLA at this time.

What is Panchroma™?

Panchroma™ is a new family of engineered polymer compounds containing PLA. The formulations are fine tuned for each color/surface finish to offer the best aesthetic quality and printability. They can be reliably printed on any FFF/FDM 3D printer under typical PLA settings.

All Panchroma™ products are PLA except for those listed under "experimental".

Can I mix and match effects into a single HueForge print?

This material will mix and match great with all other Panchroma™ effects, except those listed under "experimental".

Are Polymaker spools compatible with the AnyCubic ACE?
Some users have experienced compatibility issues; results may vary.

Customers praised this matte PLA for "printing beautifully" with excellent color variety and smooth texture. The matte finish "hides layer lines" effectively. Most reported flawless consistency and reliable results. However, one customer experienced spool compatibility issues with multi-filament dispensers, and another had adhesion problems with ash grey.

Clean & Quick

I find I can print at slightly higher speeds on my Qidi when using this filament. Panchroma is my go-to matte and white is a must-have!

Perfect Neutral

Matte pastel beige has been my go-to neutral for pairing with other warm colors. I printed a new desk set using pastel beige and pastel candy and they look INCREDIBLE. I even printed them at the wrong layer height by accident and I'm happy enough with the result that I'm not going to reprint.

Happy way to say Happy Birthday!

I have had this filament for a spell, I have used it several times, it was very low in what was left so was in waiting for just the right project. I was making a Birthday hat and ran out of the filament I was using, although worried since it was so old figured, I would take a chance on it, and it printed as if it was brand new! And the word Happy never looked better! Having a filament and being able to count on it even when you have had it for quite some time, is a major plus for me. Thank you
